Quality Filter Housings for Your Industrial Applications

Filter housing is an important component of filtration systems that offers protection against contaminated particles. This housing is a shell that holds filter cartridges, bags, or baskets. The design of this housing depends on multiple factors such as flow rate, operating temperature pressure, etc. The working process of a filter housing is straightforward. Fluid will enter through the intake nozzle. The filter housing guides it to the filter cartridge, bag, or basket. Filter cartridges, bags, and baskets will help to separate pollutants from the fluid. Once complete, the clean fluid will leave through the output nozzle. GTS Filters and Systems is one of the leading Filter Housing Manufacturers in India. We offer these housings in different sizes and designs such as single-filter housing, multi-basket, cartridge, duplex, and multiplex. Our housings encase and protect filter cartridges from solid particles and contamination.

Cartridge filter housing: Contaminated fluid enters the housing and is distributed evenly around the filter cartridge. Filtration takes place from outside to inside.solids are collected on the outside of the filter cartridge and clear filtrate is collected at outlet.

Bag filtration housing: Unfiltered fluid enters the housing and is distributed evenly around the filter bag. Filtration takes place from inside to outside. Solids are collected on the inside of filter bag for easy removal. The filtered fluid then exist through the outlet pipe.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Tell us your line size, flow rate, and the filtration rating you need. We’ll also need the material of construction, operating pressure, and temperature, along with your preferred top cover, nut and bolt or quick opening. Once we have this, we can work out a design that fits your process.
In a cartridge housing, we filter from outside to inside, so solids build up on the cartridge’s outer surface. A housing bag works the other way; fluid moves from inside to outside, and the solids stay inside the bag, which honestly makes it much easier to remove and clean.
We build single-filter, multi-basket, cartridge, duplex, and multiplex designs. If your process can’t afford any downtime, we’d usually point you toward duplex or multiplex, since one unit keeps running while the other gets serviced.
We work mainly in stainless steel, polypropylene, and polycarbonate, and PVC is available too for cartridge and bag housings. Which one we recommend really comes down to your fluid, the operating temperature, and how corrosive your process is.
Mostly so you can see what’s happening inside without opening it up. A transparent body lets you check on contamination buildup at a glance, which saves time during routine inspections, especially on lower-pressure applications where you’re checking often.
We can fit one if you’d like; it’s offered as an optional add-on. It tracks the pressure differential across the filter, so you know when the cartridge or bag needs attention instead of guessing based on how long it’s been running.
We build these to handle up to 50 bar of pressure and temperatures between 15°C and 500°C. That’s a fairly wide range, so most of our clients’ applications, hot or high-pressure, fit within it without needing anything custom.
Flow rate goes up to 1000 m³ per hour and beyond, and we cover filtration ratings from 0.2 micron right up to 6000 micron. Because of that spread, the same housing family works for fine polishing jobs and coarser filtration alike.
We supply quite a lot to refineries, petrochemicals, power plants, and oil and gas operations. Food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and textile industries come to us regularly too, along with water treatment and cooling tower setups – basically anywhere fluid needs to run clean.
Yes, we’ve designed it that way. Installation doesn’t take long, and since the housing is sealed to prevent leakage, maintenance usually just means swapping out the cartridge or bag periodically rather than any complicated servicing on our end.
