Vacuum Filter – Complete vacuum Filtration Solutions

Vacuum Filters are used in dusty areas to protect the vacuum generator and valve from pollution. These filters are positioned between the suction cup and the vacuum generator or valve. They work constantly in tough conditions, handling abrasive materials with low operator attention. These filters are used to filter slurry or pulp by employing a vacuum as a drying agent to extract moisture from the slurry and generate a filter cake of particles. Filtering time is affected by cake thickness, temperature, and pulp density.

At GTS Filters and Systems, we provide vacuum filters in a variety of design options and customizations to match your process needs. Our durable vacuum filters are proven in their efficiency and reliable performance, day in and day out, thanks to their simple design and easy operation.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Line size and the media type you need come first. Material of construction and end connection type matter too, along with your preferred top cover, nut and bolt or quick opening. Share these with us and we’ll configure a filter for your application.
It is located between the vacuum generator or valve and the suction cup. From there, its job is to prevent dust and abrasive particles from getting to equipment further down the line, which is most critical in environments where dust never really settles.
Slurry or pulp passes through, and the vacuum pulls moisture straight out of it, acting as the drying agent through the whole process. Particles left behind on the filter surface build up into what’s called the filter cake, and this layer keeps thickening as filtration continues.
Cake thickness plays a big role, along with temperature and the density of the pulp being processed. Thicker cakes and denser pulp naturally slow things down, so these three factors are worth keeping in mind when estimating your process cycle time.
Paper, polyester, non-woven, borosilicate glass fibre, separator, wire mesh, sintered powder, sintered wire mesh, and sintered bronze are all part of our range. Which one we’d recommend depends on the slurry or pulp characteristics of your particular process.
MS, CS, and stainless steel grades, SS304, SS304L, SS316, and SS316L, make up what we build with. Abrasive or corrosive process conditions usually point toward the higher stainless grades, so it helps to mention what you’re handling before we finalise the material.
Very little, by design. Low maintenance and a longer service life are both built into how these are constructed, and with abrasive materials being handled constantly, that’s really the point, less operator attention needed to keep it running.
Laboratories and research units make up a good share of our orders. Chemical and petrochemical plants rely on them too, along with research labs and defence labs, wherever slurry or pulp filtration under vacuum is part of the process.
A range of sizes is available as standard, and customisation is offered beyond that too. Share your process requirement with us, and our engineers will size and configure a filter suited specifically to your application.
150# and 300# flanged, Table E and Table F flanges, DIN standard flanges, butt weld, NPT/BSP threaded, hose pipe, Tri Clover, and SMS union connections are all offered. Nut and bolt or quick opening top covers are both available too, depending on your preference.
